Welcome Summer! Welcome Blueberries. I got a huge bag at the farmers’ market the other day for $10. I made these for Julia’s 21st birthday: http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/07/blueberry-crumb-bars/. Tegan LOVES blueberries and the rest of us suffer from changing his diaper every hour:) But they were worth it. Nothing beats buying fresh fruit from an Illinois farmer who smiles and gives free samples of the best peaches I’ve ever eaten. Ever.
